Who Are We?

Our founders, Fahima and Zafreen, moved to Canada in the early 2000s, bringing with them a profound awareness of the challenges their children would face growing up in a culture so distinct from their own. As their children matured, they engaged in conversations with them and their friends about life in general and finding potential life partners. It became evident that there was a significant gap between their perspectives and those of the younger generation. While navigating this new environment, their thoughts often returned to the cherished traditions that had shaped their lives, particularly the sacred art of matchmaking. In gatherings with their Bangladeshi friends, they would often reflect on how to keep these customs alive, even as they embraced the inevitable changes around them

It wasn’t long before they sensed a subtle unease within their community—a growing discontent as many from the younger generation began to distance themselves from the traditional methods of finding a life partner.
